I feel like it would be cooler if they did it with a cooler car, but they used a regular crossover. A modern VW Thing would be cool and Jalop. I just don't see this as "Thing status".

If they did it with a car that was already cool, it wouldn't be as cool., though. It's the fact that it's so out of left-field that makes it Jalop in the first place.
